Sue captured this picture of a female broad-bodied dragonfly that landed on the glove of one of our plot holders. Together they then found another emerging from its former nymph body on vegetation around the pond edge.
The last few years have seen no end of frogs in our pond and last year proved to be no different! Sue snapped these particularly happy-looking amphibians early in the year.
Sue takes many of the pix around the site for us, and an excellent job she does too. She took the pix above and below, of the larval smooth newts that she found on Nigel's lush plot.
Sue took the glorious pictures above around the pond - the empty case left after the emergence of the broad-bodied chaser, a nursery web spider and a male thick-legged flower beetle (Oedemera nobilis)
